Volunteer Opportunities

WYBSL is powered entirely by volunteers—board members, directors, coaches, and dedicated families. We’re always looking for new helping hands both on and off the field.

Coaching

Register to coach directly on our website. Spring clinics for baseball and softball will be offered to support both new and returning coaches.

We have immediate needs for softball coaches in the following divisions:

  • 6U & 8U: 2+ coaches per team

  • 10U, 12U & 14U+: 3+ coaches per team

Board of Directors

Our board helps guide the vision and direction of the league. If you’re interested in contributing at the leadership level, please contact the League President at: wybslpresident@gmail.com

Registration is Open for 2026 Winter Clinics

WYBSL is offering winter developmental clinics for Westford children who do not participate in Junior Ghosts teams, which hold their own practices and workouts. Please see details below and register soon!

Winter Clinic Details:

These clinics are designed for kids aged 6* to 12 who are new to baseball or softball, as well as return players looking to develop their skills ahead of the 2026 recreational season.  *Note: We use Babe Ruth Baseball (5/1) and USA Softball (9/1) age cut offs.  Also, 6 year olds will typically play tee-ball in our spring recreational program, regardless of winter clinic participation.  (Programs offered for the upcoming spring are still to be determined.)

Block 1 will start on January 10th and run on Saturday or Sunday afternoons through February 8th.  Block 2 will start on February 28th and run on Saturday or Sunday afternoons through March 29th.  No clinics will occur during February school break adjacent weekends. Cost and tentative clinic times are below. Save $10 when registering for both blocks.

  • 6U-8U Softball - Sundays between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM ($65 per block - 5 sessions)
  • U6-U8 Baseball - Sundays between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM ($65 per block - 5 sessions)
  • U9-U10 Baseball - Sundays between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM ($70 per block - 5 sessions)
  • 9U-12U Softball - Saturdays between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM ($75 per block - 5 sessions)
  • U11-U12 Baseball - Saturdays between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM ($75 per block - 5 sessions)

All clinics will be held at the Brickyard Cages at Millworks, 22 Town Farm Road in Westford.

  • U6/U8 Baseball and 6U/8U Softball sessions will use the "small turf".
  • U10 Baseball will use the small turf and batting cages.
  • 12U Baseball and U10/U12 Softball will use batting cages and pitching tunnels.  New this year:  We have the big turf area for our older groups during the last two Saturdays of each block!

The activities during clinics will last approximately 60 minutes and consider skill and experience level to keep the kids safe, build confidence, and be challenging for all players from beginners to returning recreational players. Note: This is not a drop-off activity; parents of younger children should remain outside of the netting during the sessions.

Registration is open until the clinics are full.  Capacity is limited.
